5 WAYS WITH BULLETPROOF HOT CHOCOLATE

With all this cooler weather I just can’t help craving a hot chocolate because lets face it - anything chocolate, I’m ALL IN!

The reason I love my bulletproof hot chocolates is because it’s an excellent replacement to coffee (or in addition to your coffee) and it’s the perfect afternoon pick me up. So I’m sharing my bulletproof 5 ways so you can experiment with some new flavours!

BASIC BULLETPROOF HOT CHOCOLATE

½ tablespoon MCT oil

Maple syrup (to taste)

1.5 tablespoons Cacao Powder (Honest To Goodness Cacao Powder is my fave)

200ml of boiling water

add cream if you like (I love a little dash)

Add ingredients to a large mug or straight into your blender. Add hot water, blend it up, add cream (optional) and blend it up til it’s combined and frothy!

FAT BOMB - I see many patients who are fat deficient. Unfortunately we are still paying the price of the low-fat crappy 80’s nutrition trend.  This fat bomb blend is a great way to boost fats, curb hunger and load you up with a heap of fat soluble nutrients.

1 tablespoon MCT oil

1 tablespoon maple syrup

½ tablespoon grass fed butter or coconut oil

1.5 tablespoons Cacao Powder

200ml boiling water

MEAL IN A BULLETPROOF HOT CHOCOLATE - This is perfect for when I have super early start or an exercise class but wake up hungry, it fills the stomach without having you feel full.

½ tablespoon MCT oil

Maple syrup (to taste)

1.5 tablespoons Cacao Powder

200ml of boiling water

add cream if you like (I love a little dash)

1 egg yolk

1 tablespoon of nut butter

AFTERNOON PEPP ME UP!

Use the basic bulletproof recipe and add 2 drops Young Living Peppermint essential oil. This is great when I’m losing concentration and need a quick energy hit to the brain and senses.

CHILLI HOT CHOCOLATE

Use the basic bulletproof recipe with the addition of chilli powder or seeds to taste. ZING!
