I can see that a lot of people are stressed in the community so I think it’s time to help and speak out and share my knowledge. It’s time to support our immune systems and pull your power back IN.

We can’t control what’s going on in the world right now, it seems to be one thing after the other and now with this virus - but there are some practical and fundamental things that we CAN do.

In my busy practice seeing a lot of burnt-out Mums, I think that more home rest and connection with our family and more home-cooked meals has got to be a good thing! It’s a shame that it’s external factors that are forcing this on us, but let’s make the most of it and be present, pull out the board games and really BE.  

 

What you CAN do:

Diet

-       load up with green leafy vegetables 6-9 cups per day. Ensure that they are organic/ chemical-free.

-       bone broth – heals and seals the lining of the gut (70% of immune cells are in the gut)

-       Vegetable soup,

-       roast vegetables (beetroot, sweet potato, lots of garlic)

-       sautéed vegetables with scrambled eggs for breakfast

 

Green veggies flood the mitochondria which are the energy centre of the cells. So eating your greens helps to rejuvenate the cells, helps get your cells detox and clear out. Mitochondrial health is really important for your energy levels.

Cod Liver Oil – rich in vitamin A, D, E, K fat-soluble vitamins. Tones the respiratory mucus membranes, has lots of vitamin D - helps with immune health, if you have autoimmune conditions this is a must.

A note on Hand Sanitisers – please be careful of all the chemicals found in hand sanitiser, many of them contain toxic ingredients. The Thieves hand sanitiser is my pick otherwise, the Thankyou brand is a good alternative.
